Fashion brands donate for a good cause
For the 5th edition of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW) in June 2017, the Chambre Monegasque de la Mode (CMM) had the pleasure to support the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco, thanks to the generosity of its members, donors and designers who participated in the event. The MCFW is organized annually by the CMM, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco in partnership with the Government, the Town Hall and the Monaco Tourism Office. The MCFW has gained in prestige with every new edition and has become an anticipated rendezvous in the international fashion calendar
Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode, together with Mireille Pietri (CMM General Secretary) and Celina Lafuente de Lavotha (CMM Communications Attaché), had the great pleasure of delivering a cheque for 15,000 Euros to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, to support their mission to raise public awareness about the dangers of water, and teaching children how to swim while learning safety measures through the “Learn to Swim” and “Water Safety” programs.

MCFW2018 renewing support for Princess’ Foundation
The upcoming 6th edition of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week, scheduled from May 16-20, 2018, at the Fashion Village of Fontvielle, is honored to renew its support of the Fondation Princesse Charlène de Monaco, for the second year in a row.
The MCFW2018 will have a rich calendar of presentations and fashion shows for resort, swimwear, couture, and Spring/Summer 2019 ready to wear collections, directed to the local and international press, buyers and to selected VIP guests. Conferences and round-table discussions with fashion experts are also part of the program that together with attractive social events will be held around the Principality.
The Principality has always been an attractive destination for foreign tourism thank for its beauty and glamour. But it has also become an economical hub for the textile sector with creative labels exporting the Monaco touch worldwide, adding value and promoting Monegasque Fashion and the “Made in Monaco” label, through various initiatives and events such as the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week, promoting the Principality of Monaco as an international platform in the universe of fashion.
During the MCFW, celebrated personages from the fashion world are recognized with the prestigious MCFW Awards created by the Chambre Monegasque de la Mode. Andrea Casiraghi was the guest of honor of the MCFW-2017 Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner, held at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Four accomplished personalities in the fashion world were recompensed: Naomi Campbell with the International Award, Tatiana Santo Domingo Casiraghi for Muzungu Sisters with the Ethical Brand Award, Chiara Boni with the Made-in-italy Award, and Nima Benati with the Emergent Talent Photography Award.
