Anette Shine - Chanting to Feel Good
What is chanting?
Chanting is a way of getting in touch with yourself.
It is an opening of the heart and letting go of the mind and thoughts. Take the elevator from your monkey mind and down to your heart and chant from there.
It doesn't matter if you can't sing in tune, there are no judgements, just open up and blend in... Chanting sacred Indian mantras = healing sounds, it pursues the paths towards wholeness and higher states of consciousness. It's simple repetitive; a meditation in itself.
Chanting mantras is an important part of the science of life (ayurveda). It's a holistic medicine from India in Sanskrit language starting with OM - the sound of creation. The Sanskrit mantras are sound formulas packed with energy and positive intention with a profound effect on the body-mind soul. The healing powers of Sanskrit chanting are just now being discovered in the Western world.
Mantras are sound waves, sound energy, to heal our minds on the subconscious level, where the roots of our modern anxietes are found. Mantra means 'an instrument of the mind', a powerful sound tool that can be used to reach a deep state of meditation, an important tool for healing.
Chanting instantly makes you FEEL GOOD - it raises your spirit and makes you serene, balanced and harmonious.
Anette Shine studied mantra chanting since 2008 with Deval Premal, Miten and Manose - the leading chanting group in the world. Her mission is to spread the good vibes, sharing the knowledge she learned, and create a happy community.
Anette is launching a chanting group in Cap d'Ail starting on Wednesday 5th April at 8.15pm in the Cap d'Ail church's 'Paroissiale Room' (on the Basse Corniche on the corner of Winston Churchill street) First session is free and everyone is welcome.
"We shall chant every first Wednesday of the month."
Anette is also recruiting passionate musicians to create a 'Chanting Band' to back-up this new, upcoming chanting group. So anyone who plays a bit of guitar or keyboards, flute, percussion or bass guitar is welcome to step foward and join in. Simple instruments will be available for anyone to use and play.
