Pet Of The Month - Meet Tiger

Tiger is a “plain European cat” with real tiger stripes.  We got him from a person who owns a male (not neutered) and a female (not spayed) and was looking for a home for these kittens. Incidently, his female cat has been having one litter after another. I recently heard that this cat owner will finally do the right thing and have his female cat sterilized.

Tiger is a  bundle of love, a very affectionate, daring and adventurous little Kitten who is now 6 month old and was recently neutered. Judging by the size of his paws, he will be a big cat. He has socialized quite well with most, that is the two house dogs but unfortunately the resident cat, a beautiful but difficult Abyssinian has not quite accepted him.  We are working on this with the “Feliway” pheromone room vaporizer and the “Felifriend” spray which release comforting pheromones to help ease the stress of the older cat ( my parents’ cat). Of course Tiger just wants to play with him right now…

The most exciting thing has been the relationship between Tiger and his adopted “mother”, our five years old Parson Russel named C4 (a male). When tiger arrived in our home he immediately went to C4 for comfort, even sucking on his belly.  C4 has been very protective of his little friend.

Message from Tiger's owner: "If possible, I would like to use this opportunity to get a message across.  “Get you pets neutered or spayed to prevent unwanted litters! This is especially important for cats." Thank you.
