La Maison d’Amelie
HSH Prince Albert was in the community of Annot on Saturday for the official ceremony of inauguration of a rural home known as “La Maison d’Amelie” (Amelie’s Home) for handicapped children and adolescents and their families.
This project was made possible thanks to the effforts of the association Monaco Disease Power (MDP) presided by Muriel Natali-Laure. Located in the centre of Annot in the Alps of Provence, an hour and a half from Monaco, the home has a surface of almost 500m2 on three levels by elevator with a capacity for 19 people in an environment perfectly adapted for the disabled.
Present at the inauguration were Patricia Willaert, Prefect of the Alps of Provence, the Mayor of Annot Jean Ballester and the Mayor of Monaco Georges Marsan. After a brief welcoming message by HSH Prince Albert, those present had the chance to visit the facilities that have been operational for the past few weeks. Congratulations to MDP for this Franco-Monegasque collaboration!
