You have to practice what you preach and it wasn't too difficult to become absolutely hooked on the dance fitness craze called Zumba Fitness.
You do not have to be a dancer, you just have to enjoy music and in particular Latino. It is certainly very energetic and it is up to you how far to push yourself. There is no feeling of intimidation or competition. Everyone taking part is so engrossed in wanting to keep up with the moves, that there are no feelings of self consciousness.
After one hour strutting to the music, I have never felt so alive. It is a superb way to boost your self esteem, put a smile on your face and put you in a positive mood for the rest of the day. Will I keep it up? You bet! Ka-Zumba!
With any sport or fitness regime, it is important to know that you are working with a professional instructor. Anyone who runs Zumba classes should be a certified Zumba instructor and you can check this by going to the Zumba website.
What about clothing? You can be as colourful and funky as you like! The Zumba website has a wonderful range of clothing and accessories. You should wear a good sports shoe or trainer. And it is recommended that you have a bottle of water with you. Do not hesitate to contact your Zumba Instructor for advice.
