Doggy Outings

...Making dog training fun, fun, fun...

10 GOOD REASONS WHY THIS OUTING WAS SO USEFUL FOR MY CLIENTS AND THEIR DOGS

  • Welcome to our Doggy Club Group 1: You will get to see more of the activities that Group 1 will be doing in their classes over the coming weeks but I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to the lovely Group 1, here they are!!

  • This time we have Polo, Lulu, Laila and a few other doggy pals will be joining soon.

  • We are in a very popular training location today, the park, which everybody loves!! This is another great location clients have discovered so they can continue to visit with their dogs.

  • The first behavior I cover with the group is the ‘Say-Hello’ command today, especially as we have two new members to the group today Alma and Polo. This enables clients to practice positively shaping their dogs socialisation skills and allows a good introduction of the new doggy members of the group.

  • Clients then practice a few obedience behaviours, including sit, stand and something fun ‘the twist’.

  • Clients and their dogs then have a go at the tunnel and Polo starts his tunnel training for the first time, ‘yeh, by jove, I think he’s got it’. Polo does so well and masters the tunnel in a couple of go’s. Well done to Polo and his owner, they did great!!

  • Client’s and their dogs also have a go at the agility jump, the hoops and slalom around the cones, then clients have a go at putting all the elements together as I instruct everyone how to train their dogs to do each element of the obstacle course. Everyone cheers everyone on and it is a great session!

  • To finish we have some games. There is Team ‘Versailles’ and Team ‘The Oldies’ and everyone wins a prize, well done guys!!

  • Clients are able to practice their ‘say-hello’s and “leaves” with their dogs and we finish the class with some ‘stay’ behaviours which everyone does really well with! Clients are able to practice gaining their dog’s focus around distractions in the park where there are other dogs and owners, joggers and much more!!

  • Another great experience for clients and their dogs!! Great Fun!! Clients were able to practice shaping their dog’s socialisation skills, learn new behaviours to teach their dog, build that all important bond and practice building a cooperative relationship with their canine best friend.
