This year we see two big royal weddings: Charlene Wittstock to Prince Albert ll of Monaco and Kate Middleton to Prince William in London. No doubt there will be a splendid selection of hats on show worn by friends, family and special guests. It is certainly the crowning glory to an outfit at such an occasion.

Kate Middleton has been talking to British hat-maker Philip Treacy to commission a special top number as part of her wedding outfit on the big day. Kate is a big fan of Philip Treacy and has already sported his creations. Below is a hat similar to the one she wore to Prince William’s passing-out parade at Sandhurst in 2006.
