Tribute To Women
Annie Lennox is a beautiful role model to women of all ages and all cultures throughout the world. She is a woman that acts. Through her passion for music, the successful singer songwriter, is able to create the buzz needed to stimulate the attitudes of both men and women. It is not surprising that Annie is one of the women leading the way for the centenary celebration of International Women's Day. She believes in the empowerment of women and believes that the word feminism should be better used in this way.
Annie Lennox was appointed International UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador in 2010 and is constantly working to raise awareness and find solutions for women less fortunate than ourselves. To quote the UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé, who is pictured above with Annie, “With her amazing energy, she will make sure international, national and community leaders challenge the injustice of gender inequality.” Here is a woman using her success and influence to make a better place. Other works and organisations that benefit from Annie Lennox's hands on approach is Oxfam International and her group of influential women calling themselves 'The Circle'. This is a true story of women in action.
