Summer Lovin'...
What a glorious summer so far... Well, maybe a little too hot but when you look around at the stunning views be it with the mountains or sea, the skies and even when listening to the non-stop cicadas... we really have very little to complain about!
The summer I love is when life outdoors takes over... lunch and dinner is eaten al fresco, tasting extra special with produce grown in your own garden. Aperos whilst watching the sun go down and listening to the waves gently swaying back and forth, feeling extra special with the odd glass of prosecco... or two! And even a crazy party at home with lots of fun lovin' people who share a passion for having a good time with some great music and like-minded friends.
Life is what you make it and through both the good times and bad times, sharing these times, making memories with people that matter will be what keeps you focused and keeps you grounded. Dreams can come true and as someone very wise said to me... 'If you can dream it, then you can do it!'
Whatever you do for the rest of the summer, make sure you do something for you. It doesn't matter what... it could something you have been putting off or somewhere you wanted to go or someone you kept meaning to contact... don't put it off, do it! You'll be glad you did!
A special thank you to Petra Hall and the editorial team at 'Riviera Insider' for featuring me in their Expat Focus section. The Riviera Woman has survived 10 years. I don't know what the future holds and where I will be in 10 years time but I am going to make sure I have fun finding out!

Shopping: The sales are on! The Métropole Shopping Centre in Monaco will be open on Sundays throughout August from 12 Midday until 8pm. Fleamingo Market in the gardens in Ventimiglia every Friday through August, featuring works by artists and designers. The Desbaratu in Ventimigla is the large open-air street market and takes place on Sunday 6th August.
Events: Dolceacqua: The popular annual Music and Pyrotechnic Show takes place on Saturday 19th August. The show starts at 10 pm. Arrive early to ensure parking. San Remo Street Food & Beer Fest in Portosole from 3rd to 6th August.
