Woman of the Month
Woman Of The Month - Helen McMahon
Irish born and raised, Helen McMahon started and built her own very successful restaurant in Dublin before relocating to the Cote d'Azur in the late 1990's. Helen worked in the yachting industry and in high end villa and understands exactly how to keep clients happy and staff contented. It is so very important to her to make the correct match. Her career then moved into recruitment and 13 years ago and then she created her own company 'My Riviera Staff' in 2012.
We asked Helen our famous 5 little questions and this is how she replied:
1) What makes you smile?
My Golden Retriever Bella – she entertains everyone especially on the beach. It brings a smile to my face to see other peoples happy reactions. Blue skies and warm seas. People laughing and having fun. Children. Of course, my great friends.
2) What or who inspires you?
Lynn Brera – friend and trained Counsellor on the coast. Elaina O’Hora – has run her own very successful business in Dublin over the past 30 years – she is an inspiration. Collete Millea – she always has the magic and knows how to live in the moment. With any of these three great ladies there is always laughter.
3) Do you believe in gut instincts?
Absolutely. It is a great help in the recruitment business.
4) Your three essential things if you were stuck on a dessert island would be what?
Water. Great Company. Matches to light the barbeque.
5) If you are planning a day/night out, what do you enjoy doing the most?
During the winter months I love to walk on the beach with Bella and friends. Usually to Golfe Juan and back. In the evenings I mostly enjoy going out to eat good food either alone or with friends. There are some wonderful restaurants very close to me. Two of them being the Phenecia – a family run Lebanese restaurant where there is always a great welcome. So too, the Café Royal.
