There Must Be An Angel
Television and radio, both have a high content of violence. It is difficult not to read in newspapers articles of attacks and bloodshed. With all of this negativity constantly in our faces, it is a wonder that the younger generation are seeing this way of life to be a complete norm. This is not really the sort of example we want to be setting the children of tomorrow. As a former music presenter of 17 years, I did not always notice the content of certain songs I used to promote. Music, television, radio should take responsability for the message that comes across in the name of art. To tackle issues of violence towards women and children, the UK are to address the issue in school with the belief that education is the way through to creating a less violent society.

I was delighted to be introduced to Rosana Golden, who for the past seven years has produced The Angel Film Awards which takes place from the 3rd to the 6th of December in Monaco. Her aim is to promote non violent films and to encourage film makers to take on some of the responsibility and to produce less aggression in the content of what we see on the screen today. |
Rosana, together with her partner Dean Bentley have encouraged film makers worldwide and have delivered a series of short films which can be viewed for free at The Princess Grace Theatre in Monte Carlo. The Award Ceremony takes place on stage at The Princess Grace Theatre on Saturday 5th December with a special appearance from Rock Poet Donovan.
Rosana told me "The Angel Film Awards celebrates films that impart love, peace, and oneness in their creative spirit for humankind." The Riviera Woman will be catching up with her later on.
