Ambassador Fissore speaks to Monaco Business Women

H.E. Henri Fissore and members of the Monaco Business Women Association (AFCEM)

H.E. Henri Fissore was the invited guest speaker at the monthly lunch organized at Novotel by the Monaco Business Women Association (AFCEM), that happened to coincide with the Saint Valentine’s day celebration.  As part of the implementation plan for the road map put forward by HSH Prince Albert II on July 2010, Mr Fissore was appointed as Ambassador assigned to the Minister of State to implement concrete measures to reinforce the Principality’s economic attractiveness. One of the main objectives being to ensure that companies and high-level individuals wishing to start a business are monitored and given full support. Recognizing at the same time the need to simplify the administration process making it more flexible and multilingual. Furthermore, his role also involves leading a think-tank made of Monegasques and Residents alike to discuss ways to increase Monaco’s attractiveness.

Mr Fissore acknowledged that residents are an integral part of the economy of the country, representing 80% of the population and a little more than 90% of the GDP; so seeking their experienced opinion becomes not only necessary but also very useful. In his presentation Mr Fissore stated that apart from security, fiscality and quality of life, another important aspect that needed improvement is health and wellness. He also emphasized the need for excellence in all levels of service, inviting local businesses to participate in finding ways to improve communication, transportation, gastronomy, hotels and retails shops, as well as beautification of all public spaces, to remain highly competitive with other relocating destinations.
