A Round of Applause

Dare I say it? Welcome to Summer... at last!

Firstly, The Riviera Woman would like to send our best wishes to all those who were affected by the recent floods in the Var. Our thoughts are with you.

We were certainly on our guard as far as the weather was concerned. Our Chatroom took us to the tiny Principality of Seborga where, together with our first male on the panel, we chatted about 'Equality'. VIDEO

Monaco Means Business and is working towards changing its global image. The Riviera Woman spoke with Ambassadors of the Monaco Government and the President of the JCI, who are certainly making waves. VIDEO

Representing the British Press here on the Riviera, we were delighted to welcome home Alexia Barrier 145 days after she left the Port in Monaco to sail solo around the world for scientific research. Home Coming. VIDEO

The Grimaldi Forum in Monaco is 10 years old and has its own stamp as part of their celebrations. The Riviera Woman attended two performances that introduced us to the first of two meetings with HSH Prince Albert of Monaco:

The Monaco TV Awards and the Musical Fame where we interviewed two members of the cast. VIDEO

We were honoured to meet the Prince once again and by invitation. Our very own Riviera Woman, artist Stefanie Van Zyl opens her exhibition 'Portraits and Origins'.

From portraits to movie clips, photographs to memorabilia, the exhibition in St. Tropez captures the essence that is Brigitte Bardot. She is one of the last living icons of the twentieth century. The exhibition runs through until 31st October and worthy of a visit. VIDEO

June also celebrates Fête de la Musique, the annual event which takes place every 21st June and this year was dedicated the 'Women and Music'. The Riviera Woman is also proud to support the music scene on the Riviera. Make a note for next year to visit Ventimiglia for the Battaglia di Fiori, Battle of the Flowers. Enjoy our short video clip of this fun and colourful Carnival. VIDEO
