Born in Germany in 1955, Docteur Thomas Modschiedler started painting when he was 15, doing mostly oil paints and watercolours in a figurative style .
He moved to France to undertake his medical studies at the end of the 1970s, putting aside his passion for painting in order to devote himself to his other passion, becoming Chief Resident in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Hospital of Bordeaux .
After settling in Nice in 1992 to open his own private practice, Thomas Modschiedler was finally able to combine his talents for Arts and Beauty and resume painting, inspired by this beautiful region where he is now a world-renowned Plastic Surgeon.
Regularly using herbal medecine and aromatherapy in his medical practice, he developed « olfactory painting » , expressing on a frame the emotions related to essential oils.
