One Determined Lady
Jenny Green
Motor Neurone Disease is cruel. There is no known treatment nor is there a cure. It can strike anyone and at any time. It is a progressive condition that damages the nervous system, leaving muscles wasted and weak.
This is a true story about Jenny Green, who was diagnosed with MND in June 2009. One year on and Jenny is already experiencing symptoms that are beginning to affect her normal everyday lifestyle.
Knowing that there is no cure and time is of the essence, Jenny has decided to live life to the full and dedicate herself to raising funds that will be donated to research teams, to find treatments and one day, ultimately, a cure. Jenny has established The Jenny Green Challenge Fund.
Jenny is taking part in a series of events of sponsored challenges and adventures. She is a keen sailor since her childhood, so for her first challenge, she chose the prestigious Regates Royales event in Cannes, with further challenges to follow.
Jenny set a target to raise €10,000 and as of 28th September, this had been reached. Out of 60 competitors, Jenny and her team came 42nd. By anybody's standards, that it quite an achievement and one to be very proud of. Go Girl!
