Woman of the Month
Woman Of The Month - Anne Batt
After thirty years or so on the Riviera Anne is still loving living here. She believes that she feels so lucky to have the sea, sun and mountains on her doorstep. She says: "We still have fresh food in abundance and the society retains much of its integrity."
Anne is involved with the British Association and her day job as an interior decorator keeps her fit and up to date with the latest trends. Even though Anne has to battle with Fibromyalgia, she would willingly help anybody stricken with this syndrome.
Anne loves living close to Italy and enjoys everything to make for a simple, good life. She expresses: "I am so very happy to have taken the choice and abandoned England for what was then and now a better life."
We asked Anne our famous 5 little questions and this is how she replied:
1) What makes you smile?
I smile to myself when young people make bold, firm decisions or statements which I know to be wrong but keep my thoughts to myself and let them learn by experience.
2) What or who inspires you?
My Father, who died when I was eighteen, has always been my driving force. He used to deliver food and clothes to down and outs... He was my life teacher.
3) Do you believe in gut instincts?
I totally believe in gut instincts but I often give a chance for that to be different and then return to the original impression!
4) Your three essential things if you were stuck on a dessert island would be what?
Wifi, ipad and My chefs knives!
5) If you are planning a day/night out, what do you enjoy doing the most?
A Walk on the beach and an Italian lunch ..calamari fritti and Brandzino al sale... perfection.
