How Not To Become As Stuffed As Your Turkey

They say you can have too much of a good thing and this is definitely the case at Christmas when you are faced with so much to eat. If you want to avoid overeating and keep that waistline, here are some very useful tips.

1. Have breakfast as normal. This will prevent you from snacking and keep those hungar pangs at bay. It will also stop you from over indulging duing your festive meal.

2. Avoid having the appertisers and the temptation to pick at food before your meal is served.

3. Enjoy eating everything that you put on your plate. Just make sure that your portions are not too big and this way you will satify all your taste buds and feel full.

4. Before giving in to accepting a second helping - give yourself ten minutes, which is the time it takes for your stomach to send the signals to your brain that you are actually full.

5. Only eat what pleases you. You could save valuable calories by leaving what does not taste good to you.

6. When it comes to desserts and you have a choice, be good to yourself. You are allowed to enjoy it all by taking a 'little' of each.

Have a great meal!
