Miche Bag (pronounced MEE-CHEE) is a unique fashion accessory that allows women to change the look of their handbag instantly through interchangeable “Shells” that attach over the exterior via magnets. This unique design gives women the freedom to change their handbag to match their outfit quickly and affordably.

A bit of history:

On the way home from work in the fall of 2004, a young homemaker did something most women have done—she spilled on her favorite handbag. Frustrated by the thought of hunting for a replacement then transferring all the contents, she wished there was a way to just change the outside of the bag. The idea immediately popped into her mind to create a bag with changeable covers. Not to be deterred by her lack of sewing skills, she grabbed her super glue and some scrap fabric, took apart the stained bag, and made the very first prototype. With her rough creation in hand, she set out on a mission to bring the Miche Bag to life.

Under the guidance of CEO Corbin Church, Miche Bag has experienced tremendous growth and its employees are excited about the future of the company. Recent growth includes new products being released monthly as well as expansion of the business into international markets.

Chief Production and Design Officer for Miche Bag, Jenny Platt shares her love for fashion with women around the world through her beautifully-designed handbags and accessories. She draws inspiration for her designs from a variety of places and sources, including runway shows and fashion magazines, but feels her main source of creativity comes from nature itself. The self-taught designer joined Miche Bag as its lead designer in 2008 to help take the one-year-old company to new fashion heights. Since then, the selection of Shells has grown from just 30 to over 200, with new designs coming out every month! Says Platt about her designs: "It's about combining that high fashion element with a style that is functional, appealing, affordable, and end of 2009, the company opened headquarters In Stanberg Germany with a mission: bringing Miche Bags to European women. Currently, Miche Bag Europe is experiencing rapid growth in Germany and has started to market its bags to other countries including, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and … France, just recently.

On November 15th, Miche Bag Representative for the PACA area, Christine Bryant held a launching event at Hotel Mercure Sophia Antipolis.

In 2010, Miche Bag released its ultra- popular “Hope” design: a black and white Shell with inspirational sayings. For every “Hope” Shell purchased, Miche Bag donates a portion of the proceeds to the local Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2010, Miche Bag US donated $700 K to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation in UTAH. Miche Bag Europe which is in its début donates €5 of every purchased Hope shell to local BrustKrebs E.v; a german association that supports breast cancer victims and their family. Christine Bryant has planned to match that contribution and donate another €5 to breast cancer research and support in France. (probably Estée Lauder Foundation: Le Cancer du Sein-Parlons)
